He finally escaped the maximum sentence. Williams, 26, was sentenced to 20 years in prison by the Essonne Assize Court for "usual violence against a 15-year-old minor resulting in death without intention to give it".
His ex-girlfriend, Mélissa, was sentenced to three years in prison, plus one year suspended sentence, for violence (slaps, spanking) on her son. She remains free from the court, since she has already spent three years in pre-trial detention.
This couple from Mennecy appeared this week before the Assize Court of Essonne after the death of Younes, two and a half years, the son of Mélissa. The little boy had died in 2017 of a serious head trauma, characteristic of the “shaken baby” syndrome.
The Advocate General's sharp indictment no doubt weighed in the balance. This Friday, she assessed the risk of recidivism of Williams "excessively high", given his lack of questioning at the hearing. "I have nothing to blame myself for," said the accused, who has always denied any violence.
Multiple taser burns
On September 28, 2017, on the third floor of an apartment in Mennecy, the little boy's stepfather called for help. Younes is in cardiopulmonary arrest. Williams then claims that the child fell on the head while trying to get out of his cot. But the autopsy concludes with a death caused by a head trauma, as well as several internal hemorrhages. Younes died a few days later at the Necker hospital in Paris (15th century).
The investigation reveals numerous mistreatments suffered by the little boy. Bites, blows, taser burns ... Williams probably put the child through a ordeal in the months before his death. At the hearing, he spoke of a "game". "Cruelty", corrects the lawyer general, who also insisted on the part of responsibility of Mélissa, the mother of Younes, accused of having "let her child be abused".
