IDF region: left opposition and environmentalists preparing "to turn the page Pécresse"

The four left opposition groups and environmentalists in the Ile-de-France regional council announced Friday the creation of a " common intergroup " with a view to " turning the page on Pécresse " during the next regional elections.

" Ile-de-France residents need an alternative to the regional right ", " in 2021, Ile-de-France can turn the page Valérie Pécresse ", write the four groups (Ensemble l'Ile-de-France, Alternative Ecologiste et Sociale, Front de gauche et Ecologistes et Progressistes), in a joint press release.

" 9 months from the next regional elections, we are convinced that an alternative is not only necessary, but also possible in Ile-de-France ", they continue, referring to the " failure " of the balance sheet of the president of the region (Free). This intergroup aims to give a “ more institutional ” aspect to their common positioning.

“ In opposition to the region, we relayed together the needs expressed by our fellow citizens and defended, step by step, our ecological and social requirements. To meet the housing needs and reduce the precariousness in our districts, for a development respectful of the environmental and sustainable imperative, to support and not abandon the associative and cultural actors, for a rebalanced regional planning and at the service of Ile-de-France residents ”, they defend.
