Wild football match, clashes between neighborhoods… The scene has become sadly classic in Île-de-France. Thursday evening, it was in Versailles, about 3 kilometers from the castle, that such facts were observed.

In the evening, the police were alerted to a brawl in progress at the Jussieu stadium, in the northeast of the city, a neighborhood where the police were attacked in April, in full confinement. About 200 people, coming from the sector of Jussieu and the neighboring city of Guyancourt, which has only one priority district of the politics of the city, gathered a few hours earlier to attend a “wild” football match. These matches have multiplied in recent weeks in the Paris region. At the end of the meeting, around 9:45 p.m., the first clashes broke out between "spectators" armed with iron bars, baseball bats and sticks.
