Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Finance Minister Israel Katz are holding a press conference (Thursday) at which they are expected to present the Economic Plan for 2021-2020 in light of efforts to stabilize the economy during the Corona crisis. The plan is presented in the face of worrying unemployment figures, and at the same time as the widespread public criticism of the government in crisis management.

Meanwhile, despite the increase in the amount of contagion in Corona and Israel's entry into the second wave of the epidemic, mayors across the country are going out against imposing additional closures.

Jerusalem Mayor Moshe Leon appealed to Deputy Director General of the Ministry of Health Prof. Itamar Grotto to protest the closure of several neighborhoods in the capital.

More on:

• The second wave of the Corona in Israel: 922 have been infected with the virus since midnight

• Moshe Leon v. Ministry of Health: "Closure may turn neighborhoods into corona hatchery"

Lod Mayor: "If only weak cities continue to close - I will not cooperate with the closure"

• The plan: This way, Eilat will become a "bubble" clean of Corona - and will return to full function

Lod Mayor Yair Revivo strongly criticized the government's conduct, and at a press conference today on Facebook claimed: "The government is strong on weak cities. To me, this is a site that just comes down to saying 'we did' and 'strong on the weak' - I will not cooperate with it anymore. "

At the same time, Prof. Grotto landed this afternoon in Eilat, where Mayor Meir Yitzhak Halevi presented to him a plan designed to ensure that the city continues to act as a tourism hub alongside the Corona eruptions in the rest of the country.
