District Councillor Qiu Wenjun confirmed that 10 ambulances took residents of Mingquan Building initially diagnosed to hospital early this morning. The initial confirmed cases were scattered on different floors and different units of the building. Authorities distributed a sample bottle of deep throat saliva in the building on Wednesday. About half of the residents returned it yesterday. There are about 500 households in the building.

At about 11 am, there was a collection point for saliva samples in the lobby of Mingquan Building, Shuiquan'ao Village. Some security guards were wearing protective clothing and goggles. During the period, a HA staff member was present, but did not respond to the purpose of the scene.

At 1 p.m., a staff of the CHP came to wipe the mailbox, combination lock and gate in the lobby with test paper, suspected of collecting environmental samples.

District Councillor Yau Wen-jun said that it is understood that the diagnosed cases are distributed in different units. Earlier, staff of the Housing Department inspected the pipes of 16-room tenants. One of the units had damaged pipes, and the department has sent personnel to repair it. He said that there is a rehabilitation center and dormitory in Mingquan Building. Although they are separated from the residents, they are still worried about the risk of infection.

Resident Mr. Zhang took his 2-year-old daughter and foreign domestic helper away at noon. He said that because of fear of the epidemic, the family of four moved to relatives' houses for temporary stay. Resident Ms. Huang put on two masks, saying that due to the increase in confirmed cases in the building, she put on two masks for epidemic prevention. She said she was worried about the situation. She had thought about moving away with her two children who were in elementary school, but there was no place; and the children’s school did not announce the suspension of classes, but planned to ask for leave for their children from next week. She pointed out that she hoped the government would evacuate households, but she did not want to live in the quarantine center. She believed that many people in the quarantine center were at risk of cross infection. She pointed out that some residents in the past were loose, allowing children to gather at the platform.

Resident Mrs. Xie lives in Mingquan Building with her husband. She is worried about the epidemic. She said that she will press a paper towel when going in and out, saying that most of the residents wear masks on their own discipline, but only some elders do not wear masks. Mr. Zhou, a resident, also claimed that some elders used to gather on the platform without wearing masks. He said that there was a ambulance arriving at around 11pm last night. Due to the many confirmed cases in the residential building, the company had arranged for him to take a temporary holiday and did not plan to move out by himself, fearing that he would infect other people.

Mr. Xue, who lives on the 12th floor, said that he had returned the samples yesterday, and the collector did not indicate when there were results. He can only know from the mouth of the district board member that he will be informed about the result in about half a day, and if he is negative, he will not be notified.

District Councillor: The patient went to Mingquanlou Senior Neighbourhood Neighbourhood Centre to urge the village to conduct mandatory testing

Qiu Wenjun also pointed out that the 66-year-old female patient had visited the community center on the lower floor of Mingquan Building earlier. Looking through the information, the Lixian Club Shatin Senior Neighbourhood Centre is located on the 1st floor of the building; in addition, there are two temporary dormitory quarters on the lower level of the building, including the Tsinghua Third Hospital Shuiquan'ao auxiliary dormitory, and the Christian Wisdom Service Office Shuiquan'ao Center And dormitory. He believes that the flow of people in the community center comes from the entire village, so the health protection center should arrange mandatory deep-throat saliva testing for the residents of the village.

In addition, he also said that both the Kowloon City Baptist Church's Jubilee (Enping) Primary School and Sha Tin Wai Po Leung Chu Chuk Yin Primary School had initial diagnosis by students or their families, urging the authorities to order the suspension of classes in Hong Kong as soon as possible to prevent the outbreak from continuing.

It is understood that at least ten orders from Mingquan House in Shuiquan'ao Village were initially diagnosed with Wuhan pneumonia. Those who were initially diagnosed were sent to the hospital this morning. Details will be announced by the Department of Health.
