A Palestinian was killed by the Israeli army on Wednesday in the northern occupied West Bank, the Palestinian health ministry reported, without specifying under what circumstances.

"A citizen was killed by Israeli forces," the Palestinian ministry said in a statement, adding that he had been "shot in the neck" in the village of Kifl Hares, south of Nablus. Contacted by AFP, the Israeli army did not immediately comment on this information.
