Minister of Public Security Amir Ohana met with Ministers Aryeh Deri and Yaakov Litzman on Friday, Finance Minister Moshe Gaffney, and accepted their proposal to appoint a special project for the ultra-Orthodox public, following severe feelings of over-enforcement in the sector as part of the fight against the spread of the Corona virus.

The leaders of the ultra-Orthodox factions have expressed the public's feelings in a detailed manner. After that, the minister instructed the police chiefs to give the police the final directive to exercise discretion, to enforce wisely and with common sense and to avoid selective enforcement. From the conversation there was a need for a person or staff well acquainted with both the police work and the ultra-Orthodox world as an expert adviser to the Minister of Defense to clarify the claims that arise from the field, but no less important - the connection between the police and the ultra-Orthodox company.

Against this background, former Transportation Minister MK Bezalel Smutrich proposed today to serve as a projector for the ultra-Orthodox public due to the renewed closures and the second wave of the Corona virus. In his official Twitter account, Smutrich wrote: "No one is ready to serve as a projector for the ultra-Orthodox public. Although I am not a coalition member, due to my many years of close proximity to this public, I am ready to enlist in the campaign as a projector, without standards or offices, only as an auxiliary force to join the Corona virus joint war. "

Ministerial Committee on Restricted Areas announced tonight that it has decided to declare certain parts of different cities as restricted areas for seven days, starting today at 1:00 pm until next Friday, July 17, at 8:00 am - a joint announcement by the Prime Minister's Office and Ministry said Health. The places the government has decided to declare as a restricted area are: Beit Shemesh - Nahalot and Rest neighborhoods and the perfume barrel, Jerusalem - Romameh neighborhoods, Kiryat Sanz and Belz and Kiryat Matsdorf, Lod - Forest gardens and Shachar (in addition to the railway neighborhoods, Snir and Neve Shalom). Amidar Bilu and Kiryat Malachi - Rutner Mansion and Chabad neighborhood.

This proposal comes after MK this week caused a coalition crisis on his right. In the Likud, they announced that they would allow their members the right to vote, but later the proposal was rejected when several members of the list were absent from the plenum.
