The Leader Price and Casino retail chains, both belonging to the Casino group, have recalled several batches of chorizo, following the "possible presence of salmonella " , according to a press release.

With regard to Leader Price, the brand has recalled three lots of "chorizo fort 225g" , numbered respectively 16 902 265, 16 902 271, 16 902 274 and whose consumption limit date is set for October 16 2020. The Casino brand recalled the lot numbered 16,902,271, according to this press release consulted on Thursday by AFP. “The whole lot is withdrawn from marketing. Some of these products have been on the market since July 1, 2020. As a precaution, do not consume this product. Return it to the reception of our store, we will reimburse you ” , write the two signs.
Gastrointestinal complaints and fever
People who have consumed this product and have gastrointestinal disorders, possibly accompanied by fever, "are invited to consult their doctor, telling them that they have consumed foodstuffs likely to be contaminated by salmonella" , is it added. This warning primarily affects infants, immunocompromised people and the elderly, who are at higher risk.
