Hard blow for Isabelle Joschke. The navigator, in a fight in the leading pack since the start of Vendée-Arctique-Les Sables d'Olonne, experienced serious damage in her descent from the Atlantic. This Saturday at 9:00 a.m. French time, the 43-year-old Franco-German skipper informed her team about the boom breaking of her Imoca MACSF. The race management was then contacted by Alain Gautier, his team manager, who relayed the bad news. Joschke is one of the sailors who must run and complete the equivalent of a solo deckchair to validate his first participation in the Vendée Globe.
