The Corona National Information and Knowledge Center released new data this morning on the second wave of the Corona virus in Israel. The data released this morning, updated to midnight on Saturday, shows that the number of new patients added in the last day is 1,147 people, with the average daily growth rate being 4 percent.

The document also published this morning in the Corona National Information and Knowledge Campaign that if the current rate of growth is maintained, the number of patients will be doubled within 18 days, while at midnight 132 patients were in serious condition. The data shows that the number of active patients at 18,703 is expected to outweigh the number of recoverers currently standing at 19,010 over the next 24 hours. 

Since the outbreak of the epidemic, 1,178,447 corona detections have been conducted in the State of Israel, with 17,587 being tested last Saturday, although these figures do not include recurring tests of recoverers. In addition, active Corona morbidity centers were noted in the last day and can be found there; Lod, Ramla, Kiryat Malachi, Jerusalem, Beit Shemesh, Beitar Illit, Kuseife, Bnei Brak, Tel Aviv-Jaffa, Eka Al Garbiya and Kiryat Ata, which first appeared on the map.

Recall, last Friday, the Ministry of Health issued a directive stating that epidemiological investigations will now check verified patient contacts only four days back from the time the symptoms appear. Meaning of the guidelines - fewer people will require isolation.

The document also states that reducing contact testing will allow investigations to focus on high-risk contacts that are positive for the virus. Prof. Sigal Sadecki, the public health minister at the Ministry of Health who recently announced her termination, also added that "the price is reasonable compared to the benefit." Despite the announcement, the duration of isolation is still 14 days from the last exposure date to the patient.
