Some interviewed foreign domestic helpers said that although they would worry about the epidemic, they would still go out for meetings because they only work six days a week and only have one day off. They pointed out that due to concerns about the epidemic, they will take adequate anti-epidemic measures when going out, for example, they will keep wearing masks, and wear them with them, and often use alcohol rubbing liquid, except when eating. Some foreign domestic helpers also pointed out that they would share knowledge in epidemic prevention when they gathered.
I was asked to go home and take a shower immediately
Regarding the outbreak of the epidemic, some domestic helpers said that they heard that some employers would prohibit foreign domestic helpers from going out on Sunday, and they would require them to take a shower and wash immediately after going home, and wash their clothes and shoes. In terms of household cleaning, some families will require foreign domestic helpers to clean and disinfect at least twice a day in order to prevent outbreaks.
For recent import cases in the Philippines, some foreign domestic helpers said they were not too worried because the quarantine measures at the airport will find patients and arrange patient isolation, and they will also take adequate anti-epidemic measures to prevent infection.
