Viral volume index is higher than previous patients

Kong Fanyi said that the virus has mutated and the surface protein has been genetically altered, which may increase the infectivity. He also pointed out that after the Father's Day, the government relaxed the epidemic prevention restrictions and caused outbreaks in the community. Among the patients admitted to the hospital recently, the virus volume index was higher than the previous two waves.

Carpet test should be done for estates

Kong said that if there is a big outbreak in the estate, a "carpet-style" test should be conducted for the entire estate to find hidden patients, let them be isolated early and cut off the chain of transmission, and the test should not only be done once.

Lu Chongmao, director of the Shenzhen Hospital of the University of Hong Kong, also pointed out that according to the current measures, the public should submit sample bottles for testing themselves, criticizing the relevant practices or delays. The best way is to conduct on-site sampling for testing, otherwise it is meaningless, like "wasting money" . He also pointed out that if the person concerned is infected with the epidemic, he has to hand over the bottle himself, and he may have multiple infections during the transportation.

Kong Fanyi believes that the book fair can be held as scheduled, but to limit the number of people admitted, masks and food and drink must be worn in the venue, and the body temperature must be measured before entering the venue. She Daming, a board member of the Medical Association and a specialist geriatrician, also pointed out that if participants maintain social distance and wear masks, they should not have to worry, but it depends on how the book fair operates.
