At about 5 o'clock this afternoon, the police received a report from a mountain walker, alleging that there was a suspected dead body on the hillside of the site. After the police officers and firefighters arrived at the scene for investigation, the police confirmed that the body was 58-year-old KMB bus captain Ling Weiquan. After preliminary investigations, it was believed that the incident was not suspicious. The cause of death was determined after the autopsy.
Ling's family reported to the police last Tuesday (7th) that Ling had disappeared after leaving his residence in Shatian on the morning of the 6th.
