President Alberto Fernández spoke about the intervention and expropriation announced by the Government of the cereal factory Vicentin and acknowledged: "I was wrong about the Vicentin issue because I thought that everyone was going to go out and celebrate."
"When I look back and see what I did wrong. I was wrong about the Vicentin issue because I believed that the situation was much more accepted. I thought that everyone was going to party because we were recovering a very important company. But it didn't happen, everyone they started accusing me of horrible things. I said 'well if you have a better solution, bring it to me, but I'm still waiting, "he said.
In statements to FM radio La Patriada, the president assured he wants "to preserve a company so that it continues to operate, so that Argentina has a company of reference."
"The situation of Vicentin is not stopped because we continue working, seeing how it is, but I do not want that every decision I make is like a Boca-River. I do not go with a checkbook of expropriations," he emphasized.
In this regard, he emphasized that he is "trying to preserve a very important operator for the Argentine economy so that this does not continue to be transnationalized."
