Alberto Fernández anticipated to the deputies and senators of Together for Change (JxC) that the Government is designing a plan to reactivate the post-pandemic economy and that this project will send it, for analysis and treatment, to Congress.

"We have a reactivation plan for the day after I will send to Congress," the President told Mario Negri, Luis Naidenoff, Cristian Ritondo, Alfredo Cornejo and, among others, Martín Lousteau.

In Olivos, Fernández was accompanied by Sergio Massa and the president of the block of deputies of the Frente de Todos, Máximo Kirchner. Remotely, José Mayans, head of the bloc of senators of the oficialismo participated. The general secretary of the presidency, Julio Vitobello, also participated.

After hours of tension, after the invitation issued via Massa, the subsequent rejection of JxC and the negotiation that started against the clock for a virtual summit "alone", Fernández spoke this afternoon with leaders of the PRO and the UCR. The delegates of Elisa Carrió were absent.

The President recalled that this is the third conversation he has with opposition legislative leaders. "Three meetings in seven months of government," he specified and assured that his will is to maintain the dialogue.

The mention is not random. In the midst of tension due to the rejection of Together for Change to participate in the meeting, the government circulated the reference to the fact that in the four years of Mauricio Macri, the president never met - nor called them - with the referents of the principal opposition block of deputies, the Front for Victory (FpV).

Héctor Recalde and Agustín Rossi, successive presidents of that bench between 2015 and 2019 confirmed to Clarín that they never met, were not called, or even spoke by phone with the now former president.

"Today I spoke with Gerardo Morales (Governor of Jujuy) and with Horacio (Rodríguez Larreta), I do it daily. I am not going to leave anyone out," he said to support his position of gambling, as he said in his speech on 9 September. July, to political dialogue. "We have to do things together," he added.

"We do not have to mistreat ourselves, or defame ourselves. We can decently disagree, sometimes confronting and sometimes agreeing," said Fernández and thanked, among other points, the opposition's support for the debt renegotiation.

The meeting started at 5:50 p.m. and lasted just over an hour, Fernández first listened and then spoke. There was some reproach; cross commitments and half smiles, and in the end, a laborious dialogue with an unpredictable future prevailed.
