The city of Tangier, a city of about a million inhabitants in northern Morocco, will be reconfigured from Monday noon (1 p.m. French) after the outbreak of epidemic foci, announced the Moroccan authorities.

Public transport will be suspended, cafes, shopping malls, markets and public spaces closed, and controls strengthened, so that residents leave their homes " only in cases of extreme necessity ," said the Interior Minister in a statement.
