California Governor Gavin Newsom on Monday ordered a return to certain restrictions in the face of the Covid-19 pandemic, including the closure of dining rooms, hairdressers and places of worship. California was the first state to impose general containment last March, but the number of cases has continued to explode for several weeks and has stood at nearly 330,000, including more than 7,000 dead. To stem the phenomenon, the governor Gavin Newsom announced Monday the closing of the rooms of restaurants and cinemas in all the State, and of a series of businesses and services (hairdressers, sports halls, places of worship, etc.) in about thirty counties at risk, including Los Angeles.
