“At the start of the confinement, I thought that Fashion Week would be canceled. We needed an alternative to present our work. The collection was inspired by the golden age of Hollywood, so why not make a film, ” laughs Phipps from his Paris studio. The entire collection borrows from the codes of the Americana, American icons like Marlon Brando, and the Mojave Desert. On the shirts, prints depicting lethal desert animals, coyote, rattlesnake, scorpions, or a cactus camouflage that dresses up a jumpsuit.
