"Iran will react decisively against any government or regime that proves a connection between them and the incident at the Netanz nuclear facility," Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Abbas Mousavi said today (Monday). The remarks were quoted by the Iranian news agency "Fast".

Mousavi said in a statement to the media: "Our colleagues in the Nuclear Energy Organization and in the Secretariat of the Supreme National Security Council have provided clarifications and comprehensive research on the subject, but they have not reached a final conclusion." He noted that once a final conclusion has been reached, the National Security Council and the Organization for Nuclear Energy will provide a comprehensive report.

A Foreign Ministry spokesman stressed that Iran would take seriously the reports that would be published, especially if it turned out that any factor or country was involved in this matter. "It is natural that Iran will react decisively and they will see that the time of 'hit and run' is over," he said.

"Iran will face greed"

As mentioned, the Iranian news agency "Mehr", which is close to the regime, covered Mousavi's remarks today. The Iranian spokesman referred to the nuclear deal signed with the superpowers after 13 years of negotiations, and the United States' withdrawal from it in 2018, in addition to the steps Iran took in the five-step process to give the parties to the agreement an "opportunity to fulfill their commitments."

Mousavi said that in light of the US approach in the November presidential election, President Donald Trump is seeking a political achievement ahead of the lifting of restrictions on Iran in October, and seeks to bury the UN resolution on the matter.

He added that the international community "will never go back to the age of jungle law" and Trump should know that illegal action will not last. "The Iranian president and foreign minister have stressed that the Islamic Republic will face the American greed," Mousavi said.
