The job finds colors. According to a study published by the Randstad company, specializing in temporary work and human resources, hiring intentions returned in June to their pre-crisis level. Concretely, " in the week alone from June 29 to July 3, there were 148,295 job offers published, against 150,872 the first week in March, " reveals this study released by Le Parisien .

These figures are particularly encouraging, after a collapse in the number of job offers (-53%) in the space of three weeks between February 28 and March 20, 2020. “ The crisis was played out in three stages over the job market: a sharp fall as soon as the containment was announced in March, followed by an equally clear recovery in the last three weeks of May. June is the month of stabilization of this trend ”, analyzes Frank Ribuot, president of the Randstad group.
In this context of recovery, certain professions are more sought after than others. Employers, who now want to make up for lost time, are in particular need of maintenance technicians, with an increase of 15% in the number of advertisements. Next comes the profession of salesperson, then that of truck driver and that of nurse, a profession almost permanently in short supply.
A shadow hangs over the recovery
“ If the dynamism of job offers is good news, we must beware of any triumphalism, however, adds Frank Ribuot. The return to “normal” has yet to be confirmed in the coming months. The start of the school year poses a risk on the employment front. The month of September will set the tone for the end of the year and will make it possible to confirm or deny the good orientation of the hires which we are witnessing today ”.

These promising figures remain at a lower level than in June 2019. This can be explained by the uncertainty that still hangs over the recovery - the Director General of Health, Jérôme Salomon, has indeed brandished the threat of a " second wave ". Prime Minister Jean Castex said that a “ targeted reconfiguration ” was not excluded. Enough to encourage employers to recruit with extreme caution.
