Carlos Orifici, the president of Racing de Olavarría, died at age 58 after accidentally shooting himself while hunting in a field he owned.

The AFA fired him with a statement: "Through its president Claudio Tapia and its Executive Secretary Pablo Toviggino, expresses its regret at the death of Carlos Orifici."

Beyond his position as sports manager, Orifici was one of Olavarría's most important businessmen. He was also the representative of Buenos Aires on the Federal Council of AFA.
