Death of Naya Rivera confirmed in Piru lake
(CNN Spanish) - Naya Rivera died. The actress who played Santana López in the television series "Glee" from 2009 to 2015 went out on a boat with her son on a lake in California and apparently drowned; Authorities await the autopsy result after finding her body floating in the lake.
"Glee," the hit series that told the lives of several seemingly misfit youths who were joining a dance and singing club, aired for 6 years.
Rivera's disappearance adds to a list of tragedies that have marked the series.

It happened while the series was still on air. Monteith, 31, who played athlete Finn Hudson, was found dead in his hotel room in Vancouver on July 13, 2013. He was 31 years old.
According to the forensic report, Monteith died from an accidental mixture of injected heroin and ingestion of alcohol.
The young actor was the sentimental partner of Lea Michele, an actress in the cast, who played Rachel Berry.

Monteith had been in drug addiction rehab in April of that year and was openly referring to his drug abuse problems. As he told Parade magazine in 2011, he started consuming them when he was 13 years old.

Mark Salling: Child pornography possession charges and death
Mark Salling, who played Noah "Puck" Puckerman, was found dead in 2018. He was 35 years old.
"Mark was a kind and loving person, a person of great creativity, who was doing everything possible to repair serious errors and errors of judgment," said Michael J. Proctor, attorney for Mark Salling at the time.
