If Alberto Fernández enjoyed an unprecedented rise in his approval at the start of the quarantine for the coronavirus, now he is suffering the reverse route. Slower, but just as intense. A new survey by Poliarquía , one of the most recognized consultancies in the country, put the numbers down: the way the President manages the pandemic lost 25 points in just three months. And when a further step is investigated, the diagnosis is concentrated: among the Together for Change voters , Fernández had 47 points vanished in that same (short) period.

The data comes from the latest national survey of Polyarchy, which has been following a series of parameters since the health crisis began. This is a study of 2,077 telephone cases , collected between July 4 and 9 , and presented with a margin of error of + / 2.4%.

When you analyze the behavior of the voters of the Front of All, you see absolute support for the President, almost without fluctuations in time. In other words, according to this study, both the rise and fall in Fernández's approval  are explained by the behavior of the voters for Juntos por el Cambio . A love of autumn that faded with winter.

Some numbers:

- The general peak of approval for the way to manage the Alberto Fernández pandemic was registered in the second week of April , with 84 points (and a disapproval of just 9). Since then, beyond any plateau or circumstantial rise, the trend has always been downward; and three months later the approval stands at 59 points (with 31 disapproval).

- Among the Macrista voters , the ceiling was touched by the President in the third week of April , with 71 approval points , and fell to 24 in the last measurement: 47 points went away in little more than 80 days.

- Among K voters , on the other hand, the ceiling is seen in the second and third week of May, with 95% support. Although now it fell a little, there is still a resounding guarantee : 87 points.

- Among the rest of the voters  there were more oscillations : peak of 83 points the first week of May, drop to 44 the first of July and rise to 60 in the last measurement.

Polyarchy also cuts by sex, age, economic level and region . Main conclusions:

- Fernández has more approval among women (64%) than among men (55%).

- Although it is relatively even, the President's greatest support is achieved among those between 30 and 49 years old (62%) and the least, among those over 65 (55%).

- There are more differences by social class: the presidential approval among those of low economic level (66%) is 20 points higher than that of high level (46%).

- By region, the largest gap occurs between the City (53% approval) and the GBA (67%).

What is Coronavirus? How is it spread and what are its symptoms?

Alejandro Catterberg , director of the consultancy, explained to Clarín that "the reasons for the fall, notable among voters of Together for Change, must be sought in events related to the pandemic, such as fatigue with the closure and the economic impact; but also, on political issues such as the shift in the public agenda of the moderate sectors of both coalitions in favor of the toughest positions. "

The photo is still relatively favorable to the President . Both in the management of the coronavirus and in quarantine: according to the survey data, 64% stated "in agreement" with the restrictions established since July 1 (38% "very" and 26% "strongly agreed). ), against 28% who questioned them (19% "little" and 9% "not at all agree").

The question is how long will Fernández's fall continue.
