On Tuesday, shortly after the push video was posted on social media, police passed the documentation to the Police Investigations Department, which opened an investigation.

Kakon was documented being pushed for no reason by a police officer during the riots yesterday in Jerusalem in protest of the closure in the Romema neighborhood. The police took the case seriously in light of the attack that has taken place in recent weeks against the police, including documenting exceptional cases of use of force.

The Minister of Internal Security, Amir Ohana, also commented on the video and in response to its distribution on Twitter, wrote, "The police officer was located and will be treated with the utmost seriousness."
