"In conclusion, in light of all of the above, there is no evidence that he was in a psychotic or effective major situation before, after and after the date of the offenses attributed to him in this case, so in our opinion he was able to distinguish between good and bad between allowed and forbidden. He was able to avoid and control acts attributed to him." "Detain Amit Almog until the end of the proceedings against him with the consent of the parties," the decision reads.

At the beginning of the hearing, an argument began between Vishniak's parents and defense attorney Orit Hayun. The parents shouted at the TV screen on which Almog was broadcasting "killer." Defendant's parents did not attend the hearing. Maya's mother shouted at Amit Almog who appeared to zoom in from the jail: "Do not lower your eyes, do not close them when you strangle her. Do not lower your eyes, do not close them when you strangle her. Shame on you. You and your whole family."

Vishniak's father shouted at Almog "Do not lower your head, do not close your ears! It's a circus here. Did you direct everything?" Then he turned to Hayun, who claimed that "this is not a circus here" and said to her - "Is this not a circus here? The whole show you organized for them?"

In the request, the parents claimed that although they are not an official party to this proceeding, they have the right to receive information about what is happening in the case, by virtue of the Victims of Crime Rights Law, and in view of their natural and understandable involvement in the case.

Note that the mental fitness of the defendant is a key question the parents also argued in the petition: "It is not reasonable to deprive the petitioners of information in this matter and at this stage the petitioners will be satisfied with the bottom line, i.e. the final conclusion of the opinion".

The State Attorney's Office also joined the request, arguing that the family's right to rest and the public's right to know. "There is no justification or reason not to make available to the deceased family and even to the entire public any other information that has nothing to do with medical confidentiality, including the conclusions of the opinion regarding the defendant's substantive and deliberative competence. The deceased's right and public right to know! The state joins the family request." Written in the State Attorney's Office's response to the request.

On the other hand, the defense attorney opposes the request and claims that following her request, the opinion was kept completely confidential, which is a medical document that is in any case confidential under the Privacy Protection Law and the right of every person to full medical confidentiality.
