The United States has registered 63,262 new coronavirus infections in the past 24 hours, according to a count at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at Johns Hopkins University. The Covid-19 also killed 850 new victims in the United States in one day, bringing the total toll to 136,432 deaths. The total number of cases recorded in the country since the start of the pandemic now exceeds 3.42 million, according to the university based in Baltimore, whose reports refer.
The world's leading power has experienced an outbreak of infections in the south and west of the country in recent weeks, by far the most affected in the world in absolute terms. Florida, which was one of the first American states to come out of its confinement, thus recorded a record number of deaths related to the coronavirus on Tuesday, with 132 deaths while more than 9,000 new cases of Covid-19 have been detected there in the past 24 hours.

Faced with this trend, some states have backtracked on the opening of their businesses and services, such as California, and many of them have made the wearing of masks mandatory in public places. The American Centers for Disease Prevention and Control (CDC) have also released the results of a study that supports the widespread use of protective masks among Americans to stem the epidemic.
American biotech Moderna announced that it would enter the final phase of its clinical trials for a vaccine against Covid-19 on July 27, after the publication of promising preliminary results.
