As you may recall, thousands of people demonstrated yesterday on Balfour Street in protest of the economic situation following the corona crisis and the economic slowdown that followed the spread of the disease and government measures against it. In addition, the protesters called for increased support for the self-employed and the fired, and some also called for the resignation of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. 

During the demonstration, clashes broke out between police and rioters, during which objects and eggs were thrown at police officers, and much damage was done to property in the city. During the riots, a police officer was injured and 50 people were arrested. Most of the detainees were released this morning without restrictive conditions.
