President Alberto Fernández warned this Friday that "it is not a time for conflict," when asked about the blockades that the Truckers union led by Hugo Moyano carried out the day before at the Mercado Libre distribution centers.

"I know there is a conflict and in that conflict I invite the parties to sit down, dialogue and find a solution. It is not time for conflicts, we have too many to add one of those, " he said.

The issue sneaked into the press conference that the head of state headed at the Olivos residence to announce the new phase of the quarantine that will begin from tomorrow in the Buenos Aires Metropolitan Area (AMBA).

Although he said he does not know the details of the Moyano union's claim against the technology company, the president reiterated that his position is to summon the parties to "sit down to dialogue and seek a solution."

This Friday it was reported that representatives of the Truckers Union and the Mercado Libre company reached a "social peace agreement" and decided to set up a "dialogue table" between the parties to "resolve specific issues", so the measure of force started yesterday was suspended.

The dialogue table will also follow the future expansion plans of Mercado Libre both in the Federal Capital and in the interior of the country, spokesmen from the Ministry of Labor confirmed to Télam, who reported that the measures of force and blockades of truckers in the Mercado Libre offices "were raised".

"The Ministry proposed a framework for dialogue between the parties that made possible the social peace agreement and, from now on, they will continue at a dialogue table between the company and the Truckers union to see specific issues," they added from the portfolio. national labor law.

In this sense, trade unionists and businessmen, after almost two hours of discussion, agreed "to continue working on various issues such as the expansion plan that the company has both in the Federal Capital and in the interior of the country; they agreed to work together," stressed the spokesmen. .

Both parties met this morning, in a meeting called by the Ministry of Labor, to unlock the conflict generated by the protest and the blockades that were carried out in the distribution centers of that online shopping company, suspended this morning while waiting for the negotiation results.

Meanwhile, spokesmen for Mercado Libre confirmed the suspension of the blockade at its distribution centers.

The workers grouped in the Truck Drivers Union (Sichoca), led by Hugo and Pablo Moyano, had initiated blockades "in rejection of the payment of miserable wages" and "the non-perception of the means of bonuses and vacations by many employees of the union ", according to the union organization.

Pablo Moyano, deputy secretary of the union, had denounced yesterday that the conflict originated in "the employer's decision to pay miserable wages for a long time" and in the fact that "many trucker workers do not receive the Christmas bonus and legal holidays either "
