The New Coronary Pneumonia epidemic spread to public hospitals. Three civilian staff of the Tuen Mun Ophthalmology Centre adjacent to the Metropolis Shopping Centre in Tuen Mun were diagnosed today (18th). Two of them went to work yesterday. The center has been extensively cleaned, and the Department of Health has sent staff to collect other staff's deep-throat saliva samples for testing.

Yuan Guoyong, a lecturer professor of the Department of Microbiology at the University of Hong Kong who is a government expert consultant, inspected the environment of the Tuen Mun Ophthalmology Centre in the afternoon. He pointed out that the three people had cash and cases and had more than 200 patients a day. They were still investigating the infection.

Tuen Mun Eye Centre recorded three confirmed cases today, with case numbers No. 1743, 1772 and 1778 respectively. Zhang Zhujun, director of the Infectious Diseases Division of the Centre for Health Protection, pointed out that the three people live in Tuen Mun and have other contacts than working in the same office. Liu Jiaxian added that at present, there are about 30 staff in the Tuen Mun Ophthalmology Center who may need to be admitted to the quarantine center. Tuen Mun Hospital will also issue a draft to explain later.

Yuan Guoyong went to the scene to investigate the epidemiological connection and met the reporter. He said that all three were women. The first one was a 42-year-old woman who had a high fever of 38.9 degrees; the other two were 30-year-old women and had no symptoms at all; the 41-year-old woman had a sore throat Nose.

Yuan Guoyong said that there will be a glass separation when the three people come into contact with the patient, but the staff needs to receive the patient's referral letter, money, and octopus, and then process the registration process, and return the medical record and credit number to the patient.

He pointed out that the staff may need to contact more than 200 patients every day. If one of them is a latent carrier, the items they hand to the staff may contain viruses. If the staff does not wash their hands, touch the eyes, and eat, they may be infected by direct contact. But the exact route of infection still needs more investigation.

He added that the three people were in the same office, all doors had to be locked by a combination code, or they had to eat and drink in the pantry without masks, but they did not necessarily have meals together.
