Anyone who knows me a little knows that I have zero tolerance for analogies between current events and the Holocaust. Usually such comparisons are contempt for the extermination of the Jewish people. But in the case before us there is simply no escape from comparison. 

In recent days, a video has surfaced on social media showing Uighurs - an ethnic group living in northwestern China - kneeling with their eyes covered at a train station in China. Where is the train going? One can only imagine, but the horrific evidence revealed in recent years gives a good idea. Not many have heard of the Uighurs, who live quietly in partial autonomy within China. In recent years they have begun to demand the strengthening of their autonomous status and sometimes even independence, which the communist government did not particularly like. Unlike other places in the world where similar conflicts exist, the current case looks quite different. 

Instead of managing the conflict they began artificially and cruelly reducing Uyghur births and building concentration camps, “re-education” centers that include brainwashing, presumably while using severe physical and sexual violence. According to testimonies of fugitives, many died in these camps and others lost a human photographer. In 2018, about a million Uighurs stayed in such camps, according to UN data. 

So how is it that the same UN that issued such a shocking report abandons them? Very simple. Which can not be trusted with infiltrators but with human rights, why not), Venezuela and other such justice fighters.Even the World Health Organization, instead of condemning China for hiding information about the spread of the corona virus, praised the communist power for its functioning in crisis. 

Even leaders trying to do something, such as President Trump imposing economic sanctions on China, snatch at it from right and left, because who should protect people from genocide when there is politics? 

The Chinese do not make great efforts to deny that they want to eliminate the Uighurs as a people, and under the influence of the corona, no one seems to really care. But we need to care. Not only the road - transporting people in huge numbers by train to the camps - is similar to the Jewish story, but also the intention. A Jew who sees the video taken by a particularly brave skimmer owner will not be able to sleep at night. He must not sleep at night. He must shout, scream, talk and read about them, do everything in his power to raise awareness of their situation. 

The most serious danger facing Israel from China is not an increased acquisition of vital infrastructure or an invasion of our lives through G5 technology. The real danger is that without us noticing, the sentence by which we live, "never again," will be emptied of content everywhere on the globe.
