(CNN Spanish) - The authorities of Bolivia and South American football reported this Sunday on the death of César Salinas, president of the Bolivian Football Federation, after health complications associated with the coronavirus.

Bolivia's deputy minister for citizen security, Wilson Santa María, confirmed that Salinas was diagnosed with the virus last week.
The interim president of Bolivia, Jeanine Añez, sent a message of condolences to the victim's family and friends:
