Patients with low-grade fever after surgery
Yu Huiling said that the Eastern District Hospital received a notification from a patient’s family yesterday stating that the patient was diagnosed with a family member, so the hospital arranged for the patient involved to be tested. The result showed that the diagnosis was preliminary at night, and the patient was transferred to an isolation ward for hospitalization. She pointed out that the patient originally went to Eastern District Hospital for appendicitis surgery on July 13. He had no respiratory symptoms after the surgery, but occasionally had a low fever.
She continued that 10 patients who shared the same room with the patient have been listed as close contacts, and 5 of them are still in the hospital and will be arranged for quarantine. As for the medical staff, they wear appropriate protective equipment when contacting the patient. , So no one is classified as close contact. She said that the hospital believes that the case is not a hospital infection, but the relevant ward will stop accepting new cases.

If citizens have no symptoms, they should go to a government-approved private medical institution for testing only for private reasons, such as obtaining a health certificate or wanting peace of mind. She continued that if people who are asymptomatic go to a public hospital for a test, in addition to increasing their risk of infection, it also increases the burden on the laboratory and has the opportunity to delay the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
