The United States has, for the seventh consecutive day, recorded more than 60,000 new cases of coronavirus contamination in 24 hours, according to the count Monday at 8:30 p.m. (2:30 in France on Tuesday) from Johns Hopkins University.

The 61,288 new infections recorded in one day bring the total number of positive cases in the country to more than 3.82 million since the start of the pandemic, which appeared in December in China before spreading to the rest of the world.

448 dead in 24 hours

The Covid-19 also caused the death of 448 people in 24 hours, for a total of 140,922 deaths, according to the university based in Baltimore, whose reports refer.
