The Secretary of Transportation of the City of Buenos Aires, Juan José Méndez, admitted that this Monday he went out to run despite the fact that he did not correspond to him because of his DNI number - which is odd - and that when he realized that he had breached the protocol, "self-denounced" and paid the fine.

In an interview with A24, Méndez reported that while talking to his running partner about the prevention measures for the coronavirus, they highlighted the continuity of separating the departure days according to the ID number. It was there that the Secretary of Transportation realized the error.
"In the middle of running, part of it was going over all the measures of this stage, and at one point I said 'yes, the odd and even day continues, and there I realize that it was not my place to be running and I say 'well, I have to take care of this,' ' ' he said.
It was then that Méndez decided to "self-denounce" and pay the fine: "I voluntarily showed up and paid the fine, which is 5,400 pesos. It seemed fair to me and to the rest of the neighbors," he said.
And he added: "We have to set the example. If what we ask is to comply with the protocols, I am the first to do it."
