"Definitely the number must be much higher," said Dr. Alejandro Rísquez, full professor at the Faculty of Medicine of the Central University of Venezuela, referring to the 11,891 cases of coronavirus reported by the Maduro government. The doctor attributes the inconsistency in the figures to the fact that there is only one laboratory to carry out the PCR tests. Rísquez also denounced that the mortality rate of health personnel is very high due to the lack of protective equipment.
