It is a crack of three, with two unemployed on one side but at a different distance from the center; and one at the other end. Due to the particular way in which political polarization takes place in Argentina, Alberto Fernández plus Cristina Kirchner -in the ruling party-, and Mauricio Macri -in the opposition- make up the trio most watched by public opinion. And a consultant came out to measure them province by province. The result was uneven : the President prevailed in 20 districts, the leader of Together for Change in 3 (large) and the vice had to settle for a victory in distant Formosa.
The survey that evaluated them is from CB Consultora , a Córdoba firm that measures throughout the country. Clarín brought forward part of his July survey (with between 500 and 1,100 cases per province). Two interesting data from the study, focused on the same place: Cristina lost image in Santa Cruz and Alicia Kirchner, local president, was last in the ranking of governors. Did the murder of former secretary K Fabián Gutiérrez influence?
On one of the first pages of the report, the firm makes a table with the numbers of Alberto Fernández . Ordered from highest to lowest. the figures of what is known as a net image are shown, without taking into account the "does not know / does not answer"; when this variable is cleared, the positive and negative weights are higher, and add up to 100.
The main conclusions:
- The image of the President remains high in most of the country , despite the decline in recent weeks. This explains why it is imposed in 20 provinces and why in no one was it third under Cristina and Macri.
- In 21 of the 24 provinces , Alberto F. has a more positive than negative image . In the 3 that he does not succeed is where Macri ends up winning: Córdoba, Buenos Aires and Mendoza.

- The best record, the President gets it in Santiago del Estero, with almost 80 valuation points in his favor. It also has very high figures in other northern provinces , such as Formosa, Tucumán, La Rioja and Catamarca.
- The poles of the crack are shown by Santiago del Estero , as the most official province and K (Cristina is almost 70 positive and Macri, barely exceeds 14); and Mendoza, where the leader of Together for Change comes first and the vice president barely adds 17.1%.
- Beyond the general deterioration in his image, which began at least two years ago, Macri continues to be relatively strong in the central provinces of the country, such as Mendoza and Córdoba, and in CABA, his district of origin. In contrast, he continues to do very badly in the North and regretfully regulate in the decisive Buenos Aires.
- Cristina is the reverse case . As an alert, in addition to that of Santa Cruz, in Buenos Aires territory it has more negative than positive image.
- The former president only wins in Formosa , where her ally Gildo Insfrán governs. Cristina exceeds 70 positive points there.
