In the last financial services election, Zhang Huafeng won with 261 votes and Zhan Jianlun received 150 votes. The event made a comeback after four years. Zhan Jianlun said that many experts in the industry are seeking changes. "If nothing happens in the industry, I don't need me to come out." He boasted that "personal performance, on-the-spot reaction, and communication skills are better than the incumbent."

Those who have signed up for the election include the chairman of the Hong Kong Securities Industry Association and the chairman of Hengda Group Xu Lian'an. He also participated in the last election, with only 96 votes. Lin Haobo, a representative of the democratic camp and a member of the Southern District District, announced his candidacy earlier, but he did not formally register.

Asked if he would be worried about the three establishment candidates sharing a thin source of votes to benefit the democratic fishermen, Zhan Jianlun said that the industry focuses on economic development, and it is not fearful to violate the political stance of economic development.

In addition, Chen Jianbo, an incumbent member of the insurance industry, signed up for re-election today.
