A Tira resident is accused of stealing a car and starting to drive fast in Taibeh when police vehicles chase him • The defendant was stopped after hitting several vehicles on the road

An indictment was filed this week against a Tira resident for the offense of stealing a car in Kfar Saba. The resident was documented after the vehicle owner parked the vehicle when it was on and got out. The defendant was then observed getting into the vehicle and driving away. At the end of a police chase, while hitting the vehicle with cars on the road and a parked truck, the defendant was arrested.

Following the report to the police station on July 16, it became clear that the owner of the vehicle parked near the bakery and left for a few minutes. At the same time the vehicle remains driven with the keys in the ignition switch. The suspect, who passed by, got into the car and drove away without a driver's license. 

It was not long before the accused was found driving wildly in Taibeh, while police vehicles chased him. Defendant quickly crossed an intersection, and several other intersections at a red light, and even drove in a traffic lane against me. According to the indictment, at one point the thief veered into the right lane and hit three vehicles and a parked truck. As a result, the vehicle was damaged. 

Since then, the arrest of the 54-year-old suspect has been extended from time to time in the Magistrate's Court in Petah Tikva. Yesterday, the Police Prosecution Department filed an indictment against him for the offenses of vehicle theft, driving without insurance, driving without a license, reckless driving and intentional sabotage of a vehicle. A request for detention was also submitted until the end of the legal proceedings against him.
