He criticized the industry representative Liberal Party Shao Jiahui for always siding with the government. He promised to veto the Freedom of Business Act after he was elected.
Zhang Xiuxian said that the candidates of the functional constituency of the democratic camp have a consensus, and everyone will sign the confirmation letter. Regarding the recent request from the establishment, the government should consider postponing the election. Zhang Xiuxian believes that the epidemic in Singapore is more serious than that in Hong Kong, but general elections can be held there. He sees no reason for the government to postpone the election and thinks it is not feasible.

Ou Nuo-hsuan criticized that Chief Executive Carrie Lam only called on the landlords to reduce rents, which was too weak for the business community. She hoped that Zhang Xiuxian could bring the voice of small businesses into the Legislative Council.

The chairman of the Yuen Long District Council, Wong Wai-yin, said that he appreciates Zhang Xiu-hsien's easy access to the functional constituency that is difficult to choose to attack the business community. I believe miracles will happen again after the district election last year. He also said that Ou Nuoxuan had already obtained 1,239 votes in a short period of time in the last term. He fully supported Zhang's candidacy on behalf of the Democratic Party.
