Remember the Nashikolda chocolate bar from the 80s? Well, it's huge again • Waffle flavored ice cream and especially delicious popsicles for the summer • Get to know the new section

The Corona does not stop the innovations in the field of savory, sweet and ice cream snacks, and this summer we renewed ourselves with new and nostalgic snacks. We have selected for you the five products that made our week.



Product: Elite Nashikolda

What's new: The children of the 1980s remember exactly the taste of Elite "Nashikolda" chocolate. The Nashikolda brand was first launched in 1981 and has been on the shelves for about 15 years.

About a decade ago, the brand returned in a limited edition and since then hundreds of consumer inquiries have been received calling for its return.

Now the chocolate returns with three nostalgic flavors alongside modern packaging: nut chocolate, chocolate nougat cream and white chocolate layered chocolate.

In addition, alongside the launch of the individual snacks, scaled-down snacks were launched in a family package in two flavors: Nashikolda Walnut and Nashikolda Cream Nougat



Taste Test: Eighties kids noted that they feel a bit cheated about the Nashikolda. As nostalgia lovers who have tasted the original, there is no connection between the two. This is regular chocolate for everything, delicious, but as mentioned does not mention the flavors.

Price: NIS 5.9 per 100 grams.

Product: Mann's waffle flavored ice cream

What's new: The "Man" cookie and waffle company and the "Victory" ice cream chain are launching a blue and white ice cream flavored with "Man" chocolate waffles based on cream.

Taste test: We did not expect greatness and besieged from the ice cream and it was actually a surprise. The ice cream is just the right amount of sweetness and quite balanced, one that we will definitely return to.

Price: NIS 14 per ball, NIS 45 per pound and NIS 85 per kilo. The ice cream is offered in a special and limited edition during the month of July in four branches of the "Victory" ice cream chain.



Product: Locker Maxi Double Chocolate

What's new: Crispy cocoa-flavored waffle layers with a rich filling of cocoa cream and chocolate in between.

Taste test: As expected, Lockers also manage to sell with their new cocoa flavored flavor filled with cocoa cream and chocolate. The flavors are a bit reminiscent of dark chocolate. Even those who are not particularly fond of dark chocolate noted that the waffle made them want to eat more of it. The waffle is crispy, chocolatey and sweet just the right amount. There is no such thing as too much chocolate, they say, and these waffles prove it to be entirely true.



Price: NIS 12.9 per 200 grams in the Rami Levy chain, Osher Ad, Victory, Hyper Habib and more. 

The product: handmade popsicles by Paltas

What's new: The brand offers natural handmade popsicles, without preservatives and food coloring. Paltas are inspired by the Mexican method of production, according to which popsicles are made from seasonal fresh fruits and only natural raw materials. Along with flavors such as vegan roasted coconut, passion fruit - mango, strawberry and acai, a new flavor is also offered - pistachio.  

Taste test: The taste of pistachios is delicious and refreshing, as are the various flavors we tasted.

Price: The full range of flavors can be obtained at hundreds of points of sale throughout the country, at the Paltas store in Sharona Market and at the Nitzat HaDuvdavan chain. Prices range from NIS 10-12. Deliveries to the home, in the central area, can be ordered through the Paltas website.

The product: Tosu's pea snack series

What's new: The pea snack series is launched in four different flavors: hyssop, natural, spicy and salt-pepper. The snacks contain 65% peas, no added sugar and 105 calories per pack.

Taste test: We are crazy about sweet and sometimes have to balance as well. This is a snack that provides a solution for a healthier product. In addition, we like to know how many calories are in advance in the package, before we pounce on it.

Price: NIS 3.9 per 28 grams.
