" The Mayenne is still placed in high vulnerability compared to the indicators which invite us to caution and to action ", declared the director general of ARS Pays de la Loire, Jean-Jacques Coiplet, during a video -press conference. Jean-Jacques Coiplet notably mentioned the positivity rate on 100 tests, which is now at 3.8, while it was at 3.2 on Monday.

The ARS says it is carrying out " an intensive screening policy " with since July 12 " more than 11,800 tests in the department ", which has a little over 300,000 inhabitants, said Jean-Jacques Coiplet. The health authorities however indicated that there was " no major tension at the level of the offer of care " in Mayenne. According to the latest figures arrested Thursday evening, there were eight people hospitalized and two in intensive care in this western department, " without sign of seriousness, " said Jean-Jacques Coiplet.
