LE FIGARO. - Emmanuel Macron described the recent savage assaults which are increasing everywhere in the territory, as "incivility". Was this the correct term?

Gérald DARMANIN.- It's not a good trial. The president began by speaking authoritatively of “zero tolerance”. Then all he did was use the term of the journalist who questioned him. The "fascosphere" immediately jumped on it to make a controversy. What matters is that the president consents to massive efforts for the police. It has also enabled the recruitment of 2,000 police and gendarmes per year. For three years, the budgets allocated to security have increased considerably - more than one billion euros - and this will continue! But we are witnessing a crisis of authority.
