Corona spread in Europe: Reports across the continent today (Saturday) that many countries are beginning to signal to their citizens not to come to Spain in light of the surge in the number of corona cases in the country in the past week.

France announced today that it is advising citizens not to travel to Catalonia, while in Norway authorities have begun demanding 14-day isolation for anyone who has visited Spain recently, as well as the UK.

At the same time, British officials say that despite the increase in the number of infected in Spain (yesterday 2,255 people were diagnosed), the country is still included in the British island's "green destinations" list, but at the same time did not rule out the possibility of change without notice in the coming days.

Germany and France have announced free coronation tests for all holidaymakers, fearing the holiday season in a few months will lead to an increase in infections.

Meanwhile, authorities in the Spanish town of Costa del Sol have announced the obligation to wear masks to people engaged in sporting activities along the coastal strip, despite the exemption received by athletes across the country. Deputy Public Health Director Maria Jose Sierra said that "there is a growing fear of a second wave erupting in the country. We will have to closely monitor what is happening in the coming weeks."

The impact on the tourism industry in Spain, which accounts for about 12% of the country's economy, is facing uncertainty and the growing fear of a new closure. Tourism Minister Maria Rice Maruto tried to remain optimistic about the future and said that "despite the significant increase in the number of infected mainly in the Catalonia region, the situation is improving".
