In the framework of the debate on the extension of the moratorium in Congress - which with its new articles would directly benefit businessman Cristóbal López─ the caucus of the Civic Coalition of Deputies sent a letter to President Alberto Fernández to demand the presentation of a sworn statement of interests stating the clients that, as a lawyer, he had in recent years and that explains his relationship with Oil Combustible.

In addition, they warn him of conduct that could be included in criminal offenses such as "influence peddling, negotiations incompatible with the exercise of public office and / or cover-up ".

"We want to know Alberto Fernández's clients from when he was a 'consultant' because basically we want to know if the President is still a lobbyist, " Deputy Juan López told Clarín .

The text they sent him states: “It is public knowledge (...) that in his duties as a private attorney and / or consultant, he advised companies or people from the Indalo group , of which the company Oil Combustibles is a part . That even an invoice was found for this latter company, a situation to which you yourself referred indicating that it was for another company in the group and that due to an administrative error of the group it was addressed to Oil Combustibles ”.

And he adds: " The labor or professional ties that you yourself have declared to have maintained with companies or people of the business group to which Oil Combustibles belongs, generate more than suspicions, doubts and shadows on the matter ."

They also point out that "in another company of the same economic group Romina Mercado worked in the legal area", niece of Vice President Cristina Kirchner and cousin of Máximo Kirchner, head of the Everyone's Front block.

The proposed extension of the government moratorium enables for the first time the adherence of bankrupt taxpayers, regardless of when it occurred. At the same time, it allows regularizing the debts corresponding to the Liquid Fuel Tax and the Gambling Tax, two items that were not in the moratorium approved in December.

Alberto Fernández in the Quinta de Olivos.

From the opposition, it was not long before they denounced that the project is "a tailored suit for Cristobal López" and that as a result of Oil Fuels joining this plan, the AFIP would stop collecting their debts imminently, postponing collection through from a 10-year installment plan.

"The moratorium cannot be a tailored suit for Cristobal López and the friends of power. We demand that the President and the ruling party remove from the project the articles that guarantee scandalous impunity and amnesty, " said the head of the bench, Maximiliano Ferraro , to Clarín and pointed out that "Cristobal Lopez stole from all Argentines more than $ 17 billion."

For all this, in the letter sent to the president they warn him that "the behaviors described in this way could even eventually be subsumed in criminal types such as influence peddling, negotiations incompatible with the exercise of public office and / or cover-up" and that is why they consider that "it is essential the presentation, on his part, of a sworn declaration of interests stating those clients that he had in recent years".

That request, which had already been requested by Carrió's party to the Anti-Corruption Office on December 16 last, Fernández hardly accepted.

The businessman Cristóbal López.

"The request that we make to you, we make with the objective of safeguarding the presidential figure, and we hope that you will do so, ensure the tax collection that our country needs and prevent situations that would eventually require a judicial investigation, also, to safeguard its good name. and honor as you have stated more than once, "concludes the letter.

At the same time, as Clarín told, both the Senate and Deputies Together for Change benches presented requests for a report to the AFIP on the status of the bankruptcy filing of the Cristobal López company and data on the amounts and how many companies have debts linked to the Fuel Tax.

“We want information on the status of the filing of Oil Combustibles for the bankruptcy settlement. Because it was about to liquidate assets for $ 100 million dollars with the AFIP as the main creditor and with this moratorium (the AFIP) would collect in 10 years what it could collect immediately, "complained the PRO deputy, Luciano Laspina in the last commission meeting and warned about "damage to public finances".
