Thirty billion euros should be devoted to the ecological transition within the recovery plan, which will as a whole ensure the decarbonization of the economy, said the Minister of the Economy Bruno Le Maire in Le Journal du dimanche.

" With (the Minister of Ecological Transition) Barbara Pompili, we propose to devote 30 billion euros out of the 100 billion planned for investments in ecological transition ", he said. “We will ensure that all stimulus decisions favor a new growth model based on decarbonization, energy sobriety and green innovations. The recovery plan will be a green plan, ”he added.
Three sectors will be “ priority sectors : energy renovation, transport and energy ”, with the first being the renovation of private buildings via an increase in credits from the MaPrimeRénov 'scheme.

The government's economic recovery plan, endowed with 100 billion euros, will be presented on August 24 in the Council of Ministers.
The JDD asked the Minister of the Economy if the reduction in greenhouse gas emissions linked to the recovery plan had been quantified. “ We have a 30% drop in CO2 emissions over ten years for our industry, ” simply replies. “ This trajectory is out of reach for the moment. To meet this objective, we will help the most polluting industrial sites to reduce their emissions. We will provide a first list of these sites at the end of August, ”he says.
“ The monitoring of this objective will be transparent. It will be based on a rigorous and quantified assessment ”, adds the Minister.
In terms of job creation, the green recovery " in the long term, that amounts to hundreds of thousands everywhere in our territories ", assures Bruno Le Maire. According to him, “ for the ecological transition to be accepted by all French people, it must create jobs. We are therefore going to initiate a training process so that our choices for new industrial sectors translate into new jobs ”.
The outlines of the 100 billion euro stimulus plan were presented in mid-July by the Prime Minister, Jean Castex.
