The Algerian government decided this Sunday, July 26 to renew the confinement for 15 days in most of the country, due to a persistent increase in cases of contamination with the new coronavirus in recent weeks.

Partial home confinement from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., in force in 29 of the 48 wilayas (prefectures) of the country, is renewed for 15 days from Tuesday, according to an official statement.
The government has also decided to renew " the ban on road traffic, including private vehicles, from and to " these 29 regions, specified the Prime Minister's services, also announcing the renewal in these prefectures of the suspension of transport. urban public and private during weekends.
1,155 dead in Algeria
Containment was completely lifted on June 14 in the country's other nineteen wilayas.
According to the latest report of the Scientific Committee for monitoring the evolution of the pandemic, published on Sunday, 27,357 cases of contamination have been officially recorded in Algeria, including 1,155 deaths, since the registration of the first case on February 25.
Algeria, which in recent days has broken several daily records of recorded cases (675 Friday), is one of the African countries most affected by the pandemic.
