This order follows a first report of a confirmed case of Covid-19 in Quiberon on July 21, and the identification of 54 cases, according to the state services in Morbihan. 54 cases have so far been identified, constituting a health cluster at risk of high transmission potential. Investigations of at-risk contacts around these new cases are continuing. "

" Measures were taken without delay on (Friday) July 24 by the prefect of Morbihan and the mayor of Quiberon ", recalls the prefecture stressing that on Thursday the wearing of the mask had already been " made compulsory on the open-air markets and on the axes very heavily frequented by the population ”.

Nevertheless, in view of the rapid evolution of the situation, the mayor of Quiberon has issued a decree prohibiting the opening of beaches, parks and public gardens from 9 pm to 7 am entering into force from (Sunday) evening, July 26 », Adds the prefecture. The mayor of Saint-Pierre Quiberon has also taken a similar decree.

"Private gatherings" or "bar-type establishments"

The prefecture recalls that " any confirmed case or contact at risk must strictly comply with home isolation measures in accordance with the health instructions communicated ".

" According to the investigations carried out by the Regional Health Agency and the Health Insurance, these 54 confirmed cases represent a young audience who participated in private gatherings or in bar-type establishments with very many social interactions ", indicates Prefecture.

And " due to the observation of a detrimental relaxation in behavior and the strong potential for the spread of the virus on the territory, the State services invite the entire population of Quiberon to greatly reduce social contacts and respect the barrier gestures ”.

Thus, the youngest are called upon " not to participate in private or public events incompatible with compliance with the rules of distancing ". " If this age group is most often asymptomatic once contaminated, it nevertheless transmits the virus once contaminated and thus exposes the most vulnerable populations ", insists the prefecture, which recalls that " the summer period should not be synonymous with 'a relaxation in the respect of barrier gestures '.
