Fire and smoke transformations across the United States also tonight (Sunday) with the continuation of riots across the country, almost two months after the death of George Floyd and with the continued surge in the number of people infected in Corona on the continent.

In Portland, a crowd of tens of thousands demonstrated downtown this is the 50th night in a row. The riots included a break-in at the local courthouse which prompted federal agents surrounding the building to use tear gas against the rioters. The script was familiar: hours of "silent protest" that developed into violent clashes with police and National Guard forces.

In the city of Seattle, where protesters declared autonomy from authorities about a month ago, protesters hurled explosive devices at a downtown police station. The police headquarters later described the incident, saying "what we saw was not a quiet demonstration. The demonstrators did not care about public safety, the safety of the police or the businesses and property that were destroyed." According to reports in the city 45 rioters were arrested during the evening. In addition, 21 policemen were injured as a result of the extensive violence directed at them, which included throwing stones and Molotov cocktails.

In the city of Austin, Texas, a demonstrator was shot dead during a demonstration. According to local police, a man carrying a weapon approached a vehicle and shot the driver. Medical crews who arrived at the scene were forced to determine his death. The shooter later turned himself in to police. The victim is known from previous demonstrations, according to reports.

One of the most shocking moments during the night was recorded in Denver, Colorado, where a vehicle galloped toward a crowd of marchers along the highway, injuring one of the protesters. At a location near the scene of the accident, many protesters threw objects at police, smashed windows and set fire to the municipal court. Similar incidents have occurred in Oakland California, Omaha Nebraska and Los Angeles.
