The Legislative Council election is held in September. The husband of the New Democrat Party Legislative Council Member Rong Haien, Yuan Michang, signed up for direct elections on Hong Kong Island today (27th) as a member of the "League of Hope". When asked about Rong Haien's support yesterday for another candidate, Ye Liu Shuyi, chairman of the New Democratic Party, Yuan Michang said with a smile that Rong Haien had a nomination form to support his election.

Ye Liu signed up at the same time and place to compete for seats in the Hong Kong Island District. The two met on a narrow road. Ye Liu pointed out that he did not know the source of Yuan Michang's votes. Tian Beijun, the founder of the "League of Hope" on the Yuan Michang platform and the honorary chairman of the Liberal Party, pointed out that Ye Liu is a "deep blue" and he "speaks well every time he speaks" and always voted for the government in the Legislative Council and asked: " I am an elector of Hong Kong Island, why do I want to vote for Liu Ye Liu?"

Yuan Michang: Rong Haien nominates me

This afternoon, Yuan Michang, accompanied by three "League of Hope" promoters and honorary chairmen of the Liberal Party Tian Beijun, Selina Zhou and Miriam Liu, signed up for direct elections in the Legislative Council on Hong Kong Island.

He said that the current establishment and pan-democratic opposition has pushed Hong Kong into the abyss, saying that Hong Kong has nurtured him, hoping to use his knowledge and experience to contribute to Hong Kong, seek to break the situation for Hong Kong, and strive to become a key minority in the Legislative Council, so that Hong Kong can move towards democracy. Universal suffrage, "one country, two systems" can be extended to the second half.

When asked why Rong Haien did not stand for him, Yuan Michang said with a smile that Rong Haien had a nomination form to support his election. Thank you for your concern about his family. Regarding Ye Liu’s criticism of Yuan Michang’s lack of votes, Yuan Michang pointed out that many middle-class voters were dissatisfied with the performance of the establishment and hoped to find a replacement for Ye Liu Shuyi.

Tian Beijun: Trump will not postpone the election

Tian Beijun, who has just completed foot surgery, has always had "tooth marks" with Ye Liu. He pointed out that Ye Liu is "dark blue", and he "speaks well every time he speaks." He always voted for the government in the Legislative Council and asked: " I’m an elector on Hong Kong Island. Why do I want to vote for Ye Liu?” He pointed out that “I’m not too young for Ye Liu (age).” I believe Yuan Michang will still be able to handle social affairs in 2047, thinking that hope belongs to the next generation.

Regarding the establishment’s proposal to postpone the election, Tian Beijun pointed out that the proposal of his friend and former Legislative Council Chairman Jasper Tsang would not be accepted by the public. He also said that queuing to vote is "separated well" and there is no need to postpone the election because of concerns about queuing to vote. .
