Is there a limit to the amount of weird ice creams tasted this summer? The answer is unequivocally no. After experimenting with a blind tasting of strange flavors and after examining the intriguing and astonishing collaboration between "Boza" and "Port Market" that spawned vegetable-flavored ice creams, a new collaboration has now arrived between Elite and the "Golda" chain - which brings us ice cream combined with savory snacks. Yes Yes.

The boutique ice cream chain is a member of Elite and the two have created three new flavors that combine a number of familiar ice cream flavors with the addition of familiar snacks. The first ice cream is mascarpone with chocolate and doritos chips, the second is salted caramel with peanut cream and chitos and the third is hazelnuts with white chocolate and crunchy potato chips. So how were we? It's complicated.

Golda's ice cream, except for a few flavors, is always delicious. The addition of the snacks also left her like that, but they were just ineffective. It's not ice cream with potato chips, chitos or doritos flavors, but simply their crumbs inside Golda's regular (and excellent) ice creams, which is more intrusive than contributing. 

In all ice creams the snacks feel unnecessary - they are difficult to chew and stick to the teeth. In a blind tasting it is difficult to guess even which snack is in which ice cream, because it has so little effect on the original taste. This is not a dish that is thrown in the trash (the ice creams were eliminated until the last bite) because in the end the ice creams are both dominant and delicious, but whoever pays money especially for the "section" of the snacks in the ice cream, will definitely be disappointed. 

If we take the more successful ice cream, salted caramel with peanut cream and chitos, it is such that the chitos are not noticeable in it. Physically he does, feel the lumps, but there is nothing in the taste, the same goes for the ice cream that is supposed to combine mascarpone, chocolate and doritos, the chocolate and mascarpone are too dominant and there is nothing reminiscent of even doritos, and a pity, how a pity. On paper, the white chocolate, hazelnuts and potato chips, a sweet and salty combination that sounds like the potential for the strangest / most perfect and tastiest ice cream there is, but it remains, for now at least, a fantasy. 

The flavors collection is available at all branches of the Golda chain throughout the country starting on July 30.
